WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME WHEN I JOIN?
Becoming a member of the PTA shows that you want to help support the programs and events that help enhance students' experiences at school. It does not obligate you to attend the PTA meetings or volunteer. While we would love for everyone to attend, we understand families are busy during the school year and have other important commitments. Minutes are available and posted online for you to review. For the immediate future, all meetings will be online making it easier and convenient for more parents to attend.
However, attending meetings and volunteering at any of the several PTA sponsored events provide opportunities to meet other parents. Always feel free to contact us if you have any ideas, suggestions, or comments. President@tillicumpta.org.
WHAT DOES THE PTA DO?
Tillicum Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a non-profit, volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers and community members committed to enhancing the educational experience for all children at Tillicum Middle School.
There is a gap in State and District funding for essential educational programs and classroom support for teachers. Tillicum students benefit from these extra programs that would not be possible without contributions from the Tillicum community. Donations to PTA fundraising activities help fund the following programs and events:
MEETINGS
Board meetings occur once a month. General membership meetings for all PTA members are held four times a year, usually in September, November, January, and June (months may vary.) At the general membership meetings, PTA members can vote on budgets, changing standing rules, and vote for new board members -- among many other activities. Your input and feedback is important on how the funds are spent. Come join us for a session just to listen in! Links to online meetings will be sent out via the PTA newsletter a few days prior.

School Directory
Tillicum's school directory is only available to PTA members. Families who opted out will not be included. (2023-24 Directory is available upon request.)
